Downtown Woodstock celebrates the holidays in a big way! At Rezide Properties, we love that this city simultaneously has a small town feel with big city talent, and it’s all on full display during December’s parades and performances. If you’re walking from one of our city homes or condos, bundle up and enjoy the fun – we hope to see you there!

Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights – Downtown Woodstock

Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Woodstock with the 23rd Annual Christmas Jubilee Parade of Lights!

The parade starts at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road (right by our newest development, Westown!) on Saturday, December 7 at 5:30pm. It will travel down Main Street, right through Downtown, and end at Sam’s Club on Highway 92. The parade will feature floats with tons of lights and end with everyone’s favorite holiday figure, Santa Claus! The parade will take place rain or shine, so bundle up with your friends and family, pack a thermos of hot chocolate, and come appreciate one of Woodstock’s favorite holiday traditions!

After the parade, the party continues at the Park at City Center! Santa and the mayor will host Woodstock’s official Christmas tree lighting, parade awards and the Citizen of the Year Award will be handed out, and Santa will be in the gazebo ready for visits and lists. There will also be free crafts, cupcake decorating, a moonwalk, and more. Check out the official Woodstock Parks and Recreation flyer for more information.

A Christmas Carol – Elm Street Cultural Arts Village

Woodstock boasts an impressive arts scene, and it never disappoints. From December 13th-24th, catch a show of the classic holiday tradition at Elm Street Cultural Arts Village. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30pm, with Sunday and Monday afternoon shows at 2:30pm. On the 13th, the cast will have a special Opening Night Reception, allowing guests to stick around after the show for drinks & hors d’oeuvres with the cast. The show on the 21st will be sensory friendly, and on the 22nd, Elm Street will offer sign language interpretation. For tickets and additional information, visit the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village website.

Santa Mail – The Park at City Center

A special treat for kids: have them drop off their letters to Santa in the North Pole Mailbox! The mailbox in the gazebo at The Park at City Center will deliver letters directly to Santa starting December 2nd through the 15th (since Santa needs plenty of time to sort through them all!)

Just before Christmas, letter-writers will receive a personalized note back from Santa! (Just make sure to include a return address!)

These are just a few of the fun and festive events happening around Woodstock in December. Want to just live better in this City Unexpected? Contact our sales office at 404-448-2005 to learn more about our Woodstock City Homes!

Happy holidays from the Rezide Team!
